Let me try to put my whimsy in this comment. Nahh, I will pass😂, but this is a good reminder. Becoming the best version of ourselves does not mean becoming robots.
This piece reminds me of a few days ago last week, I was walking back to my lodge on a calm evening, accompanied by a few friends of mine along the way (the usual friends journey where everyone eventually parts) and one of my friends was just being him, "bounce - walking", hitting a few signs boards casually, just being playful, and I and my other friend (we were 4 by the way) just laughed, not in necessary mockery, but just surprised at how being playful he was, and our comment on it was that, it's cos you lack a crush or a babe, Just guys banter and his reply shook something in me. He said I don't think I would wanna be with someone who can't let me express myself the way I want. This is not about the babe thing, I just realised how much we've been fed with the mentality that being serious means cutting off the part of us we consider weird and playful, but that's just what makes us who we are. If everyone is fashioned to posses particular characteristics to be called "serious with their life" turn all we would have remaining is a bunch of fashioned robots
